I am trying to set up my account to get notified of updates of participated threads in the Control Panel notification only; however when I set it up in My account -> Edit option, every time it resets me to daily e-mail notification. Am I doing something wrong or the option doesn't work?

Did you "save" at the very end?

Yes I did. However, after i click save, I scroll up and the selection shows Daily e-mail notification again. Does it have anything to do with me using Firefox? Everything else works except the subscription notification...

I can't reproduce this - although we did have a similar issue in the past which has since then been fixed.

I have the same problem. I change from "instant" to anything else, save, and it is "instant" again.

I'm having an issue similar to this as well, except when I try to save "notification in user cp" - it goes to "do not subscribe" after hitting the save button. The other options will save. Also, even with "do not subscribe shown", thread update emails are still being sent.

I'd really like to be able to subscribe and have notification through the user cp, not through email.

That is exactly what I'm trying to achieve too, since with daily notifications, I am getting numerous e-mails every day. When subscribing to threads individually, it is possible to select the user CP only notification option and it works, it's just that you have to remember at every new thread you post in to go back, unsubscribe and subscribe again with the desired setting. Hope it makes sense...
