I'm assuming you're asking by complete coincidence , but you would unsubscribe from emails on PentaxForums.com - Unsubscribe, and then log off.

There are different methods.

Some people send Adam a PM, then just quietly leave the forum.
Some people announce to the world they are leaving.
Some people cry, whine, scream, shout, stomp their feet, wave their arms and go out in classic drama queen fashion.

It all just depends on the person's nature, really.

Actually, we don't "close accounts" anymore as it serves no purpose for either the member or the forum.

Perfect timing. I just did that. Unsubscribing. Later.

I don't want to unsubscribe really. I just want to change my user name. Do I unsubscribe and then come back in under a different user name? I don't see any option for changing a user name. Thanks.

It would seem to me there's two methods there as well.
Option 1) You go off, make people unhappy, and leave the forum using Adam's steps above.
Option 2) You go off in such epic and splendorific shine that you are helped (shouting and screaming) to the door by the wonderful forum staff here.

If you do have to choose option two, please keep in mind this is a public forum and your potential employers may read your commentary when they google you while considering your hire. Just food for thought.

Thanks to Adam for answering my question by email. I now have a new username which is all I wished. I plan to be around learning my camera and hopefully adding more primes.
