Well.. um... sure is made for mobile devices.. such wasted amount of screen real estate on a widescreen computer monitor... Looks ok.. probably better on my phone than my $2000+ PC though.
I'm still a fan of old PHP.nuke type sites though..

Looks OK to me at this stage - just a switch in layout (I was good with the primary text on the left, though).

Much much easier to understand and navigate, especially for older less computer savvy members.

The "Home" button in the upper left corner of the forums pages links to /index.php which gives a 404 error.

Is there a way you could add the Forum notification number by the account login name in the top right?

Yeah that's not a bad idea - I'll look in to adding it after the logged-in area is redesigned later this week.

I'm also not a fan of the narrow feel with wasted real estate, at least the forums are excellent still

*edit* a previous look at the old style design is also narrow I see, I just usually come straight to the /forums/ so I guess that gripe is moot.

It's good to hear feedback that its more user-friendly for some though.

I do prefer the older style larger site logo, the new one to me feels a bit cramped off to the site with advertising squeezed in the middle.

BTW looking through webarchives, I see you've had lots of designs over the years - I've always felt that you were a very proactive admin, and some of the features implemented in these forums are pretty awesome too!
