Your thread titles should clearly reflect what you are selling. Keep them as concise and as specific as possible. Avoid generalizations and try to use official manufacturer names as much as possible to aid in searchability. Avoid placing subjective ratings in your thread titles.
Please apply the "For Sale" thread
prefix for items being sold and the "Wanted" prefix for items being looked for. Additionally, please
do not use any acronyms or phrases, such as "FS" or "WTB," to begin your thread titles, since prefixes are automatically added. Before creating a new thread to list an item for sale, make sure it is not being already sought for in the
Wanted Items section. If it is, contact the user(s) interested in the item via PM.
Please
avoid using all capitals and don't surround the text with symbols to make the listing stand out. At the moment, we do not offer premium listing options or enhanced visibility styling (larger fonts, etc.), though this is under consideration.
If you've decided to lower a price, you may indicate this by adding "(price reduced)" to the end of your title. Also, be sure to update the thread price field when editing the title.
Examples of
good thread titles:
- Pentax-DA 21mm F3.2 Limited Lens (price reduced)
- Pentax K200D with 18-55mm kit lens and battery grip
- Pentax K200D body (low shutter count) and 16Gb SD card
- Pentax K-x body only
- Takumar Prime Lenses: 35mm, 50mm, 55mm, 85mm, and more
Examples of
bad thread titles:
- Pentax-DA 21mm F3.2 Limited Lens (***PRICE REDUCED***)
- Pentax K200D and more
- !!Pentax K200D **MUST SEE** low shutter count + extras
- FS: Pentax K-x body only
- Lots of Takumars
Please don't remove items from your thread titles when they sell, or if you do, restore them prior to moving your thread to the sold section so that your thread remains easy to find. The fewer items you list per thread, the higher the changes are that your thread will be found by someone genuinely interested in the item.
