I have no idea how to integrate the competitions with FB, except that perhaps if the winner is on FB, he or she would have the opportunity of starting the next thread.

Adam I guess we can just continue to urge folks who want to participate to make their entries in the forum.
Let them know if they want a chance to host with their own pic they need to play in the forum.
Would be cool to get some more of them on board if they are not members.

Sounds good. I will post the next entry later tonight, with a week deadline, and suggestions that members focus on entries the first few days and voting the last few days to see if this helps some of the later entries.

I'll continue cross-posting these contests on FB as time allows, and try to get users even more engaged than they've been to date.

Thanks Adam. I see you haven't commented on my other concern about this contest distorting the Likes count some users get, but I'm hoping my modifications to the format help on this front and also make the contest more appealing to the members.

The likes system is meant to be a means for you to find the best content by each user/in each thread- so the contest isn't distorting anything if you ask me.

Fair enough. As a new member to this forum, I initially viewed the Likes as a form of reputation points. I tended to Like posts that I found helpful as a way of thanking the person for their time. That's why I thought this contest was a little distorting, but from your point of view I can see why it isn't.
