Lens disassembly database

Is it possible that we could find a way to organize the categorizing/centralizing of lens dis-assembly instructions as I have noticed there are many posts spread through out the forum and I know quite a number of people like to delve into this but many with little to no knowledge of how to approach it. (myself included )

For starters this would make for a great post in the article section. Once we have something to work with, I can step in and expand things as needed.

So maybe if I went and compiled as many existing lens assemblies as possible into the one thread and went from there?

Right, sort of like an index. I think that would be very helpful!

Could this be expanded to include tips on general lens repair, cleaning and storage?

I think there is a fair bit of that stuff in the article>repairs and maintenance. And for the moment it might be a fairly large undertaking compiling the lens assembly stuff but once I get that done we might be able to get the cleaning trechniques involved, as it would be handy having all that in the one place.
