Searching

New K10D owner looking for some answers... hope you can help. Search seems crippled. I enter terms as:

M42 flash

- or -

M42 AND flash

I get a million-zillion hits. Many do not contain M42 so I assume it is "or" ing my terms. Is there some trick to search here? I really don't want to ask questions previously asked and my question HAD to have been asked before. Any help would be appreciated.

Shane

Hi Shane,

First of all, the seach doesn't accept any terms shorter than four characters. Don't use any operators, either, as the search includes all the terms you enter by default.

If you wan't to find a 3-letter keyword on the site, I suggest you use google- just enter what you want to find followed by "site:pentaxforums.com"

Thanks very much. Heck I might use siteentaxforums.com as my primary method for searching.

Found just that for which I was looking.

Cheers.

The other thing I find usefull is to go to advanced search and only ask for searches in titles then type in what you want. It seems to filter much better.
