Can't add photo as "attachment" in social groups

Title says it. Why?? Thanks.

I don't think social groups support attachments. You have to upload photos to your album or the gallery and then link to them or place them in a social group album.

The obvious question - why not make social groups work like any other forum?

I find this difference a pain in the Ass.

I wished it worked like that also, unfortunately the developers of the software decided to half-ass the implementation of all the social features. While I've gotten social posts to look like forum posts, under the hood it's actually a completely different system, which makes it hard to modify. There's a long story behind it, but basically it equates to company acquisitions and corporate drama.

As much as I'd like to make the social groups feature more functional, there are currently bigger priorities, such as developing an overhauled equipment database & review system.
