Camera Issues Database

For statistical purposes, I think it would be a good idea to have a database on problems related
to the different Pentax models. For instance, the Kr had issues with front focus and the e-dial;
it would be good to have some quantitative data on these problems. To ascertain that the reported
problems are not of a bogus nature, those who report the problem must be asked to provide
the serial number to the model on which the problem occured.

Most companies are quite secretive in regard to such matters, but it is my firm view that
transparency is a good thing.

That would make people worry about whats/could go wrong with their particular camera instead of working around the camera's personality and getting out their and taking photos.

I think it is a matter of how you present the facts rather than the facts themselves. I knew about the problems
with the Kr, but that did not deter me from getting one.

I really really hope that there won't be a need for such a database, now or in the future
