Adobe RGB in albums / gallery

I shoot in Adobe RGB.

Do I need to convert to sRGB before uploading to an album in this forum? I noticed the grass which looked all fine on my display becomes pissy when uploaded. Firefox does a bit better than Safari Mac.

Is it just my browser or is the Adobe colourspace really a problem?

sRGB is the internet standard and most photos you upload to websites will be transformed. This can lead to loss of quality. Why do you use Adobe colourspace btw? I read that it captures more data about the "greens", but its mostly inconvenient.

Yes, it represents more colours than standard RGB.

I will convert and upload again.

But is there really a difference in the raw file itself? Doesn't it record the same amount of data?

Of course not, it only makes a difference when I look at the pictures on a computer or convert them to JPEG.

Enabling color management in Firefox can help. Google "color management/space/profile Firefox" for instructions.

Also uploading image files within the image size limits to avoid downsizing.
