I have seen threads asking how to change the price in a "For Sale" subtitle, with the answer to separately change the thread title through the Advanced Editing option. Somewhere in the guidelines, it says that you can change the thread title for 10 minutes after posting/editing a listing. I am certainly over 10 minutes. Even using advanced editing, the subtitle shown never includes the price in the editing field. Can this be done directly from the listing?

Could someone suggest specific steps to do this such that I can include my new lower price in the Thread Title?
(and I, for one, think it would be great if this could be done be automatically, when one changes the price in the listing itself).

Go to the thread. On the right in the box with your name/etc should be an option about editing the title.

I just used the Go Advanced feature to change the thread title in an ad I placed 3 weeks ago.

Oddly enough, even though I can see the new title, if I select the option to edit the thread title as mentioned above, the title then shown on the editing page is the original unedited title.

My ad had not received any replies.

Late edit: aha! The edit in Go Advanced was only visible in the advert. The displayed title in the forum sub-section was still the original.

Within the first 24 hours after the thread has been posted:8

Edit
Advanced
In the White boxes,
1. change the Title as you wish
2. change the subtitle as you wish (that is usually the price)
3. edit the body of the listing in the text box as you would any other Post or Reply

Afterward use the Change Thread Title in the link box on the right.

The above will only work within 24h of posting. To change the title after that you have to use the "edit thread title" link.

thanks, I got it. The box with my name, options, etc. was not visible off to the right of my screen. It works much better when you can see the "Change Title" option!
