Interesting.

My iPad and my wife's Mini both run iOS6.1.3, my wife's iPad runs iOS7.0.2

My iPad and her Mini exhibit the same problem. However, on her iPad with iOS7, the menus work. All tested with Safari.

I didn't really want to "upgrade" to iOS7 - I don't like the new interface.

Weird, but this makes sense- the older browsers were a bit quirky.
