"Bump" a Marketplace posting

I lowered the price on an item I have posted, and tried to "bump" the posting as well. (I have seen "bumps" before, and assume that it is a way of using a post to move the ad toward the top of the que for quicker visibility). However, the ad remained in its relative position among other ads. Is there something I don't understand yet? Thanks.

I think you can bump once a week. Not sure how much time you have to give it from your last post see it change position with a bump -- maybe three or four days?

The how's

But I do have the concept right, do I not? You just post some kind of reply, and that automatically makes the thread more active and moves it up?

You post a reply to bump it but you can do it every two days, otherwise it simply edits your previous post.

By the way, I took a quick look at your website. I really like your work! I'll have to go spend some more time there later.

I believe if you read the rules of the marketplace it states that you can't bump more than once every 40 hours.
