Question Question about "Likes" and Exclamation Point symbol

I apologize for asking a question probably answered somewhere, but I haven't found the answer.

In one of the threads — about big and small birds — I see an exclamation point symbol in the area where I otherwise would be able to click to "like" the photograph. Does this mean that "likes" aren't an option in that thread, or do I merely need to take some action of which I'm unaware?

I know I could post a comment of praise in the thread.

The triangle icon is the thread reporting tool, if this is what you're seeing:

Likes are disabled (the thumb icon isn't visible) for you only on threads where you are the OP.

Hi Smf, the triangle is useful for reporting a thread that you believe might be improper or trollish, breaks the common civil rules in some way. I believe reported posts are kept confidential, but don't quote me on that.
Also, the thumb 'Like' icon will appear green if you've given a like to that post.
