Question Can I use preformatted text?

Is it possible to insert text that has been formatted just the way I want it (i.e. indents, extra spaces between words, etc.) into a forum post?

In some forums, one can use the HTML <pre> tag to preserve formatting.

A search here does not seem to reveal any equivalent. Am I missing something?

Or can I just submit (i.e. insert in the message box) my own HTML?

Html in posts isn't supported, but you can of course use bbcode to apply formatting.

When using a supported browser, if you paste formatted text into the wysiwyg editor, the system should preserve the formatting to the extent allowed by bbcode.
