Question Unable to access WANTED item posts

Hello Dear Readers –

I wanted to browse in the "WANTED" section of the forum to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing my K-3 plus all lenses and accessories, such as the Battery Grip.

However, when I tried to read individual posts, I received an error message which I am going to attach a screen capture of to this post.

Can someone pleasehelp me and tell me how to fix it? I appreciate your kind attention to my problem and I look forward to and will await your reply.

you need to donate in order to sell items. whether it's through the for sale forum or replying to a wanted ad. it's the same thing ultimately

I understand the request for donations if someone is buying or selling, but it just seems a little desperate to me to prevent LOOKING. For what it's worth, I was able to view the items for sale.

Nevertheless, if I must part with $10 just to see the "WANTED" postings, then I will do so in my next bill payment cycle. :-)

cruising the wanteds means you want to sell

if you are looking to see what things sold for, browse the sold items and see what they sold for.

you can buy without supporting the site, hence access to the for sale stuff

if you don't want to support the site I'm sure nobody would bat an eye if you left

While it's true that you can make a donation to Pentax Forums to gain marketplace access, you can also gain access by becoming an established member of our community. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/24-photographic-equipment-sale/137-read-f...ack-guide.html

Having the current policies in place helps weed-out scammers and the like, and makes the marketplace safer for everybody.

I think we would hate to lose any member; whether they donate to the site or not. Yes, we need everyone to help out with supporting the site; but it's not mandatory to simply enjoy & participate (except Marketplace).

All in all, we want every member to feel welcome.

notice my first post explaining the issue. he then argues that he shouldn't have to support the site.

if you don't care to support the site you are using perhaps leaving isn't a bad option

Actually a member shouldn't have to support the site, as this is not a Paid site, rather a voluntary donation site.

Perhaps being more welcoming to members, they will in the future choose to support the site, rather than leaving it.
