posting same picture different threads

I am new here and trying to work my way through the system

today I started a thread "sticky stuff" to post pictures I had taken of trumpeter swans which had feathers stuck to their beaks.

however when I tried to post certain pictures, I could not and the "error" message indicated that I had already posted the picture to another thread

are we limited to posting pictures to one time or is there a way that I can post the same photo to different threads?

I also couldn't figure out how to post info on the photos in the thread except for the very first one.

thanks

ps: My wife says that I am easily confused and I need all the help I can get.

Hi - I've moved this to the "Site Suggestions & Help" forum.

To post the same image into multiple posts, you need to store them in your album (or use an external image hosting site) and link to them in your posts.

The following sticky provides full details: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/12-post-your-photos/6-how-upload-link-pho...tart-here.html

Post it the first thread. Then right click on the image to get its URL (copy image address) . Paste that URL into the second message using the image button

Here's one i posted earlier tonight in another thread using the Manage Attachments feature in that thread:

Or simply right click, copy image and the new thread, right click, and paste.

To throw another bone in; you could simply change the image's description where it's stored:

1st posting of image, description: 022 Medium
2nd posting of image, description: Med 22a

Or an attachment. If you click on "insert album photos" in the main editor, or the icon in the quick editor, you can embed any photo that you've previously uploaded either as an attachment, in an album, or to the gallery.

You can of course do the copy image URL trick too
