More work for site admin, but what about a camera review forum.

There is a posting presently encourgaging people to do reviews on flicker,

there could be two sub forums, one for film and one for DSLRs under the appropriate forums, or just a new review forum like the lens forums with all cameras.

My only concern with the idea is that users wouldn't have a single place to see an average rating, otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to add this as a sub-forum. I still think I'll add it in the future, though, along ith a technical section and a do-it-yourself forum. Thanks for refreshing the idea!

Adam: We already have the Forums for DSLR and Fil Cameras - are we talking about databases like the lens databases? Accumulate rating opinions, data, postings, etc.

• Pentax Camera Review Database
• Third Party Camera Review Database
  • K-Mount
  • Screw Mount 42mm pitch (would we want pre-42?)

I could go down that path, monochrome, but it's not as easy and quick as it sounds. It would involve me acquiring 2 new software licenses, setting up 2 new MySQL databases, and tinkering with some custom scripts I made for the lens DBs to make them compatible for camera reviews instead.

This would be the optimal solution, though, and with time, I'm sure I'll get around to doing it.

IMO, it would be nice to have something standalone that's not part of the forum, too- but that's after the homepage redesign which I still haven't gotten around to doing.
