Weight of F* 300mm 4.5

Hello, it would be nice to see the real weight of a complete lens with mount.
I did a short cross check with a digital scale.

...880 g including built-in hood (without removable tripod mount)
1.120 g including built-in hood (with......removable tripod mount)

Thanks.

It would be nice to see more information in your post so we'd know what you're referring to.
Review, database, somewhere else?

We can certainly add the weight of the hood + tripod mount to the DB

I have added fields to the database for weight of hood (if detachable) and tripod mount (if exists and detachable).

So far we only have data for F* 300 F4.5, FA* 300mm F4.5, and D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro WR.

It's for @Adam to make the data visible in the various tables.

I guess it would be very helpful to use the weight with mounted tripod collar as standard weight. Since most people will use it with it. So nobody will wonder why it weights more than the FA* 300mm 4.5
Also using the weight of the complete lens in the pentax lens search would be fine for real life weight.

The data will now show up in our specs tables if it is available. I think the easier way to browse is via the lens finder:

Full Frame Lenses | PentaxForums.com

I will start a new thread asking for data submission since as @Ole said, we're missing these specs for most lenses.

I did take a look, can't see any difference. Still only the barrel weight without tripod mount is displayed in the lens finder results.
That's why many people believe the F* is more lightweight, but this applies not to the basic configuration (wich is with tripod collar).

It seems like something went wrong with the database entry.
Currently the complete weight is described without tripod collar but the number is with tripod collar.
So people add the weight for the tripod collar to the overall weight, leading to the weight of lens including 2x tripod collar.
Can you please fix this?

I've put in 895g per @noelpolar 's measurement. Does that look good?
