Email rejected because you do not have reverse DNS PTR record
Hi,
My original sign up email got rejected - it's to do with not having a reverse DNS (PTR) record set up for your IP address/domain name. Your hosting company should be able to sort this for you - I would guess quite a lot of emails sent by your server will get rejected with out this set up properly.
From my servers mail log files:
warning: 74.86.234.122: address not listed for hostname pentaxforums.com
connect from unknown[74.86.234.122]
NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[74.86.234.122]: 450 4.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [74.86.234.122]; from=<webmaster@pentaxforums.com> to=<me@mydomain.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<pf01.pentaxforums.com>
disconnect from unknown[74.86.234.122]
I had to remove the rule to allow it but would prefer to put it back as its commonly used by spammers.
