Extra line breaks being inserted in replies

I'm using the latest Firefox on W10. When I reply, extra line breaks are being inserted that aren't there in my text, but appear after it has posted. I can't get it to reliably happen, but it seems to often add a double line break when I do a single break for a paragraph, so I will try it here and see if it happens.

Is there a single blank line or double?

As expected, when you take your car to a mechanic, it works perfectly, but I'll try once more for luck.

Now?

Oh well, I promise it did happen several times!

This has happened a number of times for me too. I always just thought it was user error.

The WYSIWYG Editor is randomly wonky. Tiny font, capitalization and line breaks happen. IMHO updated Browsers aren’t handling the BBCode well.

This is an issue that I still haven't been able to find a proper solution for. It seems the editor has many ways of inserting line breaks, and things are breaking (no pun intended) since a recent update to FF/Edge. Chrome, which doesn't support the full visual editor, is mostly unaffected.

In the mean time, editing a post to remove the line breaks can be used as a temporary workaround.
