How to quote? Like this?

In the bottom right hand corner, there is a 'Quote' button, click that. Or select the text and use the 'Quick Quote'.

Thanks bert, but my windows 10 do not have that quote button option.

I have these options on the left is style selector and on the right are contact us, Pentax forum home, site map, top in black color

Red mark with arrow down that says additional option, Topic review for arrow up, but it is not there.

Where is this button?

Thanks Adam, the first time I highlighted the text, the pop up "quote text" did not appear so i type the text explaining where to find that quote option.

After submitting reply I edit the text and highlight the reply of bert again and the quote option appeared. Maybe my computer is dormant for the first time around.

Now I got it. Thanks to all.

Hello reviving this topic of mine, why sometimes the word " quote " and emojis are not present when posting a reply. What to do?

If you want to ensure that the post is copied identically, you will need to copy the original bbcode (press the icon in the upper-right corner of the editor to switch to the bbcode view) and paste in the bbcode view as well.

You should see it if you "go advanced". But, this should only be necessary if you're including special formatting.

If you use a browser or an add-on/extension which alllows control of javascript scripting, enable/disable "ajax.googleapis.com" will alter what is shown and what is working.
It also changes the way how sub menues of the menues in the header block of Forums Home behave.

Before Pentaxforums made https a standard, I had to make googleapis switchable.
Enabled, I had all the enhanced possibilities of the post editor, but https did not work
Disabled, I could use https, but just a plain editor.
And I remember there was a serious problem with externally stored pictures as well.

Messing with the site code is not something I would recommend and generally won't bring any benefit. For users who want to change the editor type, there's an option in the site settings.

I'm starting to lose sight of what is being asked / what you want to accomplish.
