I received a notice from the mods about editing my for sale thread in the marketplace. I was asked not to edit it frequently, because by doing so, it bumped the thread ahead of others. So I waited the minimum required 40 hours before editing it again. I went back to the marketplace and my thread is still on page three. I thought editing kicked it back to the top? At least that's what I got in trouble for. So now if I go back and post "bump" to the thread, am I going to be in trouble again? It's just so hard to try to make an honest for sale ad without violating some unforeseen, convoluted rule or policy.

You do have to make a reply to bring the thread up to the top. I think what the mods were trying to say was you should do the edits with the first post, then bump the thread in a brief post. That keeps the thread easy to read and understand.
