E-mail Error

Hi,

If I go to send an e-mail to a friend and make an error in their address how do I know that it would have bounced?

Regards,
Gordon.

If it bounces, you will get a message similar to, "No user at this address", or, "User not found."
If the mistake goes to an actual email address you may never know. It could go into junk mail, or be deleted by the user. If you know you sent it to the wrong email address, send it again, to the correct address.

The short answer is you can never be sure. Some email services provide very clear error messages, others don't say anything- for example, if you got the email address right but the message went to spam, you might never know

Hi,

The recipient received the e-mail once I put in the correct address!

On top of that I think that I have convinced him that he should join the Forum instead of being the occasional lurker!

Regards,
Gordon.
