Lens reviews - different listing for different optical designs

Hi all, part question, part suggestion (and I apologise if it's been asked/suggested before).

With regard to the Pentax Lens Database; there are a number of lenses listed under a single heading, despite different iterations having fundamentally different optical designs. For instance:
- Super Takumar 28/f3.5 (early 7/6, late 7/7)
- Super Takumar 135/f2.5 (early 5/4, late 6/6)

I understand that lenses go through constant minor revisions (coatings and whatnot), and see the sense of grouping, for instance, the Super Takumar, S-M-C and SMC versions of the same optical design. However, when the actual optical design changes that is, in my opinion, a different lens. Notably, the 8 element Takumar 50/f1.4 is listed separately to the 7 element version.

The issue is that having them grouped together potentially throws out both the average price and the rating.

Thanks, Nick

This is not a bad idea- the different variants are already separated in the new lens database (Pentax Lens Search | PentaxForums.com), so I think splitting up the reviews wouldn't be a big deal either.

It would not be a big deal as long as the variant for existing reviews are known.
