Question Email notifications

How do I turn off email notifications of new posts in the forum? I think the bulk of the emails in one of my email accounts is made up of these notifications. I don't want to unsubscribe from threads just stop the emails.

In the User Control Panel click Edit Options. There is a drop down menu for Default Thread Subscription Mode under Messaging & Notification.

You can change notifications in the User Control Panel under Subscribed Threads, check the thread and select the preferred notification from the Selected Threads drop down.

Thanks. Is that on the mobile site or only desktop? I had a good look around the mobile site and couldn't see it

I don't know about the mobile site, but you can change to the full desktop site on mobile devices. Scroll all the way to the bottom and there should be an option for full desktop site...

I had the same question; I changed the notification settings but still keep getting the emails.

I wonder if you need to unsubscribe from your threads and then subscribe again. I will see what happens in my case.

Changing the setting in the dropdown will affect future subscriptions. You can also update your existing subscriptions from the subscribed threads page, using the checkboxes on the right to change your notification preference.

Yes, changing the preference to user cp only will stop emails for the existing threads that you selected.

For future threads, see post #2.

I couldn't see any way of changing preferences for existing threads, only a checkbox that could be ticked or not. No way to change "daily" to anything else.

I click on View All Threads under Subscribed Threads and it's at the bottom right of the list.
