Question Site authention flakey?

I was prompted for login this morning despite being set to remember. That by itself was no big deal except that the system logged me out while I was typing a comment. No changes of browser, settings, or OS on this end.

No issues as far as I'm aware. However, there is a specific protocol that's followed for authentication, and network errors (or, less likely, malware trying to hijack your session cookie) might lead to precautionary invalidation of your saved login.

Thanks...I was a bit puzzled at the time and probably should have checked the status of the request cookies before posting this note.
