Suggestion Suggestion to Create Independent K-3 III Category

I would like to suggest the K-3 III be setup separate and independent of the K-3 & K-3 II under Pentax Cameras > DSLR-Specific Forums.

This recommendation is based on the premise that it is the introduction of a significantly newly developed platform which is believed to provide the foundation for the camera bodies that will launched thereafter.

For example- discussions regarding its image processing, AF and GUI will in a small extent and in some case to a very large extent pertain to notable differences from the past product line, yet likely have much more in common with future product lines.

The new GUI and its nuances that are yet to be uncovered may serve as one of most obvious example.

I agree. Although in name it belongs to the "K-3 family", the K-3 iii is in reality a completely different camera, and a seperate sub-forum would be justifiable.

Considering that the K-3iii is such a different beast to the cameras that have come before it, and there's going to be a tsunami of threads about it, it makes sense to have all of those threads in their own category where people can easily find them. Just IMO of course.

Only threads that were started after the K-3 III was officially announced were included in the new sub-forum, because the others you mention were likely speculation and/or the discussion of News and Rumo(u)r, and not relevant to the actual camera.

I'm pretty sure we can trust Adam's judgement when it comes to what he chooses to include in a sub-forum he sets up............just sayin'......

Threads that are misplaced, as in not being News and Rumo(u)r, will be moved,

Once again (and last time), the Pentax DSLR discussion forum has all the camera models discussed, and is a legitimate forum for discussing the K-3 III.
3 out of the 5 in the post above are genuine News and Rumor threads, so also are acceptable where they are.

As this Site Suggestion thread was started to create a K-3 III sub-forum, it has served its purpose well.
