Do the Admins have any oversight on adverts shown on PF?

I'm curious whether PF has any oversight on adverts shown on the forum? There's an advert coming up for me for Motex plug-in electricity supply smoother which claims to reduce my monthly bills by up to 90% by "cleaning up" the supply to regular sine wave instead of nasty, dirty irregular sine wave. This wonder gadget which isn't available anywhere else will save me a packet, allegedly.

I haven't tried one, don't know anyone who has, but I don't have a zip on the back of my head either. With the modicum of electrical engineering taught us in my degree all those years ago I would tentatively, consideredly, cautiously suggest the claims for Motex's nifty little gizmo is as likely to achieve what is claimed for it as I am to achieve nirvana next week.

Frankly, it's rocking horse droppings.

We can block specific advertiser domains site-wide, but otherwise the answer is no- the content is chosen by Google depending on what they think is relevant to you. You can also report inappropriate/deceptive ads using the little icon in the corner of the banner.

You could try an adblocker - I'm using uBlock origin with Firefox and I never see any ads on PF.

You shouldn't see any on the forum anyway, as a site supporter

I agree with that in general terms, but I also try to refrain from using one on some sites that I like supporting.
