The misc lenses should now be more or less sorted- given the number of entries, that needed to be done with a bit of automation, rather than manually. @GUB did I miss any other categories?

Bravo -looks like you have nailed it.Misc lenses sort correctly for focal length. Is it not an option to sort the entire focal length / F stop box so that the faster ones sort to the top?
I haven't done any editing since my last entry. Been waiting to see if you could get them to sort correctly!

Sorting by aperture is a bit much in that older system. Our new lens search does have that feature, though!

Voila!!! that is the way forward.
Now if I seemed dumb earlier on it was because I thought that box was just the "search the forums" box and not a search 3rd pty lens box.
Happy to admit it was just me but can you increase it's profile a little.?
I will get back to work on the editing in a day or so.
EDIT note post below!

I actually clicked on your link and it took me to a place I haven't been before
I tried to adjust the Pentax one which has a 3rd party filter but that didn't work. (0 hits for 49 - 53mm F1.7 to F2.8)
But its 3rd party link took me to 3rd pty front page. which search now works well.
So the path you linked to is PF / Lenses / Pentax Lens Review which so far is not playing nice for 3rd party.
How about renaming PF/Lenses/ 3rd party lens review to 3rd party lens review and search?

Edited both Tamron primes

Now with the editing I am doing three things ;

Standardising the Fstop nomeclature (F) (The focal length is almost invariably written correctly)
Emptying other data out of the focal length box.
And trying to add mount type.
Hopefully that improves the readability and I gather is helping sort the search functions.
Now the Irix and the Samyang have been entered professionally - all correct and consistent but with the model in the focal length box. If I leave them alone will it affect the overall (misc lens) search /sort ability ?

Russian primes edited.
Samsung primes done
Schneider-Kreuznach primes done
Voigtlander primes done
They just need your sort treatment now Adam.

That is all the primes edited except for Irix, Samyang, Lensbaby and Venus. All of these have been entered in a consistent manner by someone that knows what they are doing.
If you want them edited consistent to the others then let me know.

Now for the zooms - not looking forward to that.

Adam - is it possible to align right the focal length box to separate it from the name in the titles. Or perhaps give it its own column?
