Because the site's only a day old, we're still running on a temporary homepage. (It was an amazing first day, though!) However, as time progresses, I'll be chaning it around and adding new features, obviously.

I can either install a portal (vB Advanced CMPS), or greatly improve the static version with latest thread lists, RSS feeds, and some other areas.

The downside to having a portal is that if the forums come down for maintainance (which is once in a blue moon), so does the homepage, and we'll have no place to post improtant site announcements or news. Only with a protal can we have posts displayed directly on the homepage, however.

A major idea, however, is regarding our potential photo contents- I think the homepage should feature each month's/week's winning photo, and there should also be an archive of past selections.

The static homepage would also contain contact information, etc., and of course it wouldn't be limited to a single .html file.

I pretty much think that the portal idea is better now, since the database errors have now all been resolved. It'll be up later today.
