Moderators moving threads

When moderators move threads, could they please mention where they move it to rather than just saying "this thread was moved" or something.

It's not hard to find them, especially if you are the one who started the thread. Use Quicklinks in the toolbar

Well, most threads moved are followed up with "moved to whatever section" statement.

If threads are placed in the right section to start with, there will be far less complaints by forum members.

There is a moderator log in the User CP exactly for this purpose. It will tell you where threads were moved and by whom. Additionally, expiring thread redirects, with last several hours, should be visible in forums from which threads are moved.

Well, there have been some moved lately where the moderator has just typed "thread moved"
Surely its not much harder for them to type "thread moved to ........."

Or you can use the tools that were available to you and in this thread have been pointed out to you.

Do you really think you have enough posts to start dictating how the Board, which is Privately owned by Adam, should function?

Threads are moved for the benefit of the whole forum community, not for the poster who made the error.

Are you a troll?

We really don't need to be getting annoyed at each other over this. Just use common sense. If you mis-placed a post, think about where it should have gone. If that's too hard, just have a glance and your User CP or the redirect link and you'll know where your new thread is in a flash!

Better yet, if you have the thread bookmarked or are subscribed to it, just click those links!
