Missing Darkroom Forum?

My apologies if this has been suggested before - a search did not turn up anything fruitful.

I see a printing forum, but no darkroom forum. Seems there are at least a few of us doing traditional wet darkroom work - would be nice to have a dedicated forum to share ideas. Or am I just blind as a bat and missed it?

Just use the printing section to discuss darkroom technique. There aren't enough users to justify the creation of a new forum.

IMO film photographers and traditional wet darkroom workers continue to get short shrift here at PentaxForums.

I recommend you check out APUG http://www.apug.org

The APUG forum is dedicated to all aspects of traditional (non-digital) photography and is very comprehensive.

you should also check out the film SLR forum. A lot of people discuss things relevent to film processing there.

Although perhaps a sub-forum off the print one would be the best.

I'll consider a new sub forum for the purpose if we have enough users interested in it.

I'd be interested if for nothing else to give "us" a central place to post about darkroom. I am always wondering whether to put it under the film forum or the post/print one.

How about one of you guys that is interested start a thread with a Poll in the Film SLR forum? That way Adam can see the level of interest.
Personally, I think it's a good idea as long as it will be utilised.

I'll tell you now. I think this is a great idea. I'm planning on getting back into developing my own b/w film and it's been a good while since doing this. So, a darkroom forum would be just the ticket.

I'll open an official thread later this week. However, the professional photography/business section also saw great support when I created a thread for it, yet once I made the forum, practically nobody used it (and it still sees little traffic). Hence my concern.
