New here and have a question

I was looking over the "who's online" section and saw these....

MSNBot Spider

AskJeeves.com Spider

Question is, does your site allow mining of e-mail information & etc.

If so, I may want to re-think this.

No this site does not allow mining of any personal information.
Are you sure you weren't seeing things? They only names that you will see online are registered members and the two you mentioned most definitely are not registered members nor would they be allowed.

Well, I'm pretty sure that I know what I saw.

Yeah, I just saw for myself, I'd never used that panel before.
The only access they would have is viewing so as long as no email addresses are included in posts, things should be secure.
I'm sure Adam will add something to this from Administrator level.

The so-called "spiders" are indexing services used by search engines. They crawl all sites on the web and are essentially responsible for having our site show up when searched for on Google, etc.

I don't know what you mean by "does your site allow mining of e-mail information", but the answer is no. All profile e-mail addresses are hidden and can't even be viewed by other forum members.
