I was talking to Damn Brit and he said I should ask this here.

Uploading photos:
The limit to size in attachments is 800x800 correct?

What about photos embedded into a thread or post if that photo is hosted on another site, such as flickr, photobucket, or pbase. What is the size limit then?

Reason I ask, I've seen other photos that exceed the 800x800 size, but they are hosted somewhere else. And also, I would like to be able to post large photos like those I've seen.

The limit for attached photos is 600Kb and 850x567 pixels. However, there is no limit on the size or dimensions of external photos (nor on the dimensions of photos uploaded to the user photo gallery). To embed an external image, simply follow this BBCode format:


[img]http://www.site.com/image.jpg[/img] (if no wider than 950px)
[imgwide]http://www.site.com/image.jpg[/imgwide] (if wider than 950px)

Yep, you just confirmed what I thought on embedded/external photos.

On attachments, thanks for clarifying the size of those.

And I have been using the imgwide option since seeing that in another post of yours.
