Was just reading one of the existing threads about light meters and one poster mentioned the "sunny 16" rule. Now, I've used that rule from time to time, especially with K and M lenses, but wonder if I'm employing it correctly, what the basis for the theory is, do I understand it correctly.

I believe it would be a great service to the photographic community at large, and us here specifically, if we could have a basic photography FAQ that would cover some basic theory of photography.

Of course, even though it would contain basic photography theory, it would be geared to Pentax cameras. Sort of a place where the general photographic community could go for information, but with Pentax cameras as the foundation. Would be a good advertising tool.

The 'problem' with forum software is that subject titles cannot be alphabetized, modified (kept concise), or indexed. Is there some way whereby a wiki-like structure can exist within this forum software that we could all contribute to? I know that there is still a lot I need to learn, but don't want to post questions all the time.

I know that that kind of sorting is not a standard feature of vBulletin, but it wouldn't take all that much to integrate using a plugin.

Once we have a more-or-less complete Pentax FAQ (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-faq/), I'll start working on a dedicated section for all the info, perhaps on the homepage.
