Tell them to set their profile language to English so that the translation system can be disabled. Alternatively just read the original text below the translated version.

Ok so apparently I set it so google automatically detects the language, and that translates even if you have it disabled. I will get to that on monday at the earliest as I'm away at the moment.

This happened to me also, as I was PMing a fellow member in Finnish. I have my language option set as English but that didn't help. A kludge solution was that as I previewed the PM, the forum software detected the language as Finnish and set the lang=fi tags. When I then manually changed the "fi" tag to "en", the PM was sent unchanged as the system thought it was English.

Adam, I really wish these automatic translations were removed as they mainly cause just trouble. People who can't communicate in English don't usually end up using the forum anyhow. Also the really bad translations usually just confuse.
