Not only does vBulletin's reputation system suck, but I think the idea in general is sort of redundant. Would you rather get kudos in a post, or kudos through a little notification box labeled reputation? If you ask me, therefore, it's just a waste of space.
Taking the weekend off from working -- my god, when will it end -- and having dome some PP work and posting, I understand this concern of yours now. My rep has increased by 10, but no comment to my new thread, and one comment to my posts in another thread, that were on the same topic and fairly edjamacational.
I wonder if it's possible
and easy to look into the user's session and not permit rep'ing another user in a thread unless they recently updated that thread; with the assumption that info is even available within their active session. ... if that makes sense. Again, not intending to 'make work', just wondering. Or perhaps merge the applying of rep w/a thread comment, and one automatically adds the other?
