Love the fact that this image was captured with a K20D and Pentax-A 28mm. The same camera and lens many of us use, and yet the result is spectacular. It ain't the equipment, its the photographer.....

I open a discussion about this vote and votes on this forum in general (maybe not politically correct but from discussion comes interest).
I think these are 2 very good photos. But, for me, a few were more interesting or original on an artistic point of view (I'm talking about photos that you may show in a showcase or find in a photo book published by a renown photo books editor). The 2 photos that won the contest are technically perfect, they are very beautiful and they catch a special moment (that's photography!!!) but the subjects may be seen as banal. Some others where really different, expressing a personality, an eye that signs the great photographer more than the very good photographer. But they didn't win. Why?
For your information, I had no photos in this contest and I'm working in an advertising agency and I often work with professional photographers well known or not (please excuse my English but I'm French).

I think I agree Bringolf. Even before you brought this up: see the title of the photo, given for this only reason...
