Good imagery this, I'd crop out the bones and the backside on the right if it were mine.
Yeah, do that.

Fantastic shot!

I think the bones are an important part of this composition, with the youngster one side of the bull and the bones the other, makes a 'path of life' narrative.
Fantastic shot which deserves to win!

Beautiful. What did you do to get that great film look in the background?

I should have looked at the explanation on your flickr page before asking. Brilliant!

Great subjects and your B & W treatment make it look, oh, so very realistic. Like the tonal range and fine details, also. Nominated.

Congrats, @todd!

I'm not gonna lie - I thought you ran away with this competition with such a powerful image.

Again, congrats with such a stunning image!

Good to see an exhibit come to life. I may have to try to make a visit to the NHM some time. I still think it's a good photo but now that I know it isn't real life, I know it wasn't as hard to take as if shooting real elephants. I still think the photo does do the display justice.

Good to see an exhibit come to life. I may have to try to make a visit to the NHM some time. I still think it's a good photo but now that I know it isn't real life, I know it wasn't as hard to take as if shooting real elephants so the photo value is considerably less than if it were taken of the real thing. I still think the photo does do the display justice compared to the website photo. It would be nice to see if they can use this photo to replace that one(unless of course there is a "copyright" or photo prohibited infringement which if is the case, you will want to rethink).
