It seems like a film setting to me, a mis en scene of an old Melie movie, a sophisticated one. Very nice.

I understand the impulse to crop 1/5th of the right side
but to me that would render this a "Disney perfect" type
of photograph~whereas the retreating small butt & the
graphic bones and the negative top space all add to
the tension and drama and the REALITY of this photo.
I am a cropaholic but in this case, I think not cropping
adds volumes to the story this photograph tells.
