This is the super moon total lunar eclipse of September 2015 taken in Crested Butte, Colorado. After a day of nice mountain biking and spectacular fall aspen leaf peeping and photography, I planned to attempt to catch the total eclipsing moon as it rose over Mt. Crested Butte itself. Everything came together nicely but I had to act fast to catch it as it rose quickly over this sub-ridge while brilliantly illuminating the pine trees standing atop.
I had the Pentax DA 1.4 AW Teleconverter attached to the 300mm.
