January 2009 Runner-Up: Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak, as seen through a natural hole in the base of a rock formation in the Garden of the Gods, known as the Siamese Twins. The "twins" actually stand just above the hole.

First I want to thank the folks that voted for my photo! The inspiration for this came from my son who is lucky enough to work for a concessions vendor right next to the park. When I mentioned the contest, he knew right away. "the perfect shot"

I know this will sound like whining, but how come there wasn't a tie??? After all I got just as many votes as the winner (and I voted for that one too).

Congratulations Al! and I agree that it should be a tie. I certainly don't mind sharing first place there's plenty of room for both of us, and you did get the same number of votes.

+1 I was coming to this forum to ask the same thing to see it's being discussed. Maybe it was an oversight by Adam and he didn't realize the counts were the same?
