The len's outside is all plastic and when I bought the lens from a good ebayer, he also uses that expression for the lens and I find it quite cute to call it that way. It may be misleading as the lens is heavy and you feel certain manhood in taking pictures with this lens.
This lens is not appreciated by many people. And in general, I don't think majority of Pentaxian are after the Tokina lens but rather the SMC and Pentax lens. I have a difficult time convincing others to pay attention to good gear from Tokina. I tried to sell my
Tokina sz-x 287 28-70 f/2.8-4.3 with 'A' for two times with no interest at all. I suggest serious buyers to PM seller for a good deal. The price listed is already fair assuming it is good condition.
