Making a slideshow w/ Aperture question.....

I have Aperture 2 as my photo editing/storage software on my Mac at home. I have a group of pictures that I would like to turn into a slideshow (with an audio file playing in the background), but I have never tried this before. Since I'm at work now, I couldn't mess around with it at this moment - but I thought I'd go to the Apple web site to see if I could find out if it's possible in Aperture 2, or if I'd HAVE TO upgrade to the new Aperture 3 in order to do what i want. The problem is that since "3" is now out, they don't have very much helpful info left on their site about "2".

So, I thought I'd tap into the knowledge base here to see if I can do what I want to. Is it possible to build a slideshow with a song playing in the background in Aperture 2? If so, is it complicated? (I wouldn't think so - given its user friendly-ness.) Is it as simple as just making a file, that I could then burn on to multiple DVD's - as I want to make a handful of copies of this when I'm done?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

Original Poster
In re-reading my original post, I guess I wasn't clear on what I was trying to do. I have created slideshows aith Aperture2 in the past, and that all works fine. What I want to do now (for the first time) is create a slideshow that I can burn to a DVD.

I've taken a bunch of pictures of my son's high school baseball team this Spring, and I'd like to create a slideshow that I can then burn to DVD's, so I could give one to each of the players. Since I've never wanted to view any of my previous slides shows anywhere other than my mac before, I'm not sure of the process of getting it to a DVD (20 times!). Before I created the slideshow I just wanted to be sure there weren't any settings that I had to punch in - or anything like that - BEFORE I created the finished product, so that it would be "burnable" afterwards.

So I guess what i was not very clearly getting at in my original post is.....

1) Is it easy to burn a slideshow I've created with Aperture 2 to multiple DVD's, and,

2) Are there any settings I have to make in my slideshow (either before I get started, or after I have it created) in order to be able to burn the finished product onto DVD's?

Thanks,

Tim
