how not to post-process

Oh God. This is so wrong on so many levels, but I can't help but keep clicking "More Samples". It's like a train wreck in slow motion.

My personal favorite is the dark haired little girl who ends up looking like a cross-dressing Charlie McCarthy. Yikes, I think her eyes were following me...!

Me too and they got scarier and scarier as each page loaded. I can't believe anyone would pay for such hideous adjustments. Almost all the subjects looked like they were made by Matel when the retouching was done. Those whitened, glossy eyes were horrible.

yes quite a train wreck

I don't know what's worst, the artists work or people paying for it.

Although we have no way of knowing if anyone has paid for the work.

I like their link on how to take bad Portraits

OMG ... that's freaky indeed .... I have sent that link around the office for a good chuckle.
I can't believe some of the total transformation that they have done.

I know some magazines go crazy with retouching ... but nothing like this.

Train wreck is the right word here. Who in their right mind would want their photos to look like this? But then again who in their right mind would pay for something like this. I guess there are some who would want this, and pay the price. This should be an add on lesson in Photography titled Taste What Not To Do.

God are these shots scary. I can't believe I looked at all of them.

holy smoke this is the worst one of the ones i saw:
Age Progression Retouching
thats creepy!

btw its 40 dollars per photo, 60 for the total makeover treatment.

maybe they would be better off marketing this as a fun "turn your friends into barbie dolls" service.

ewwwwwww

Although, the one where the old damaged photo was repaired wasn't too bad (it definitely was better than the rest).

**Eyes burning** That is a great joke! It's not a joke? Holy plastic surgery, Batman! I love tasteful retouching, even the removal of blemishes and subtle skin softening, but that is just plain murderous. The slaughter of perfectly good photos of real people.

ugh. that's just - just nasty. ick.

They eyes bug me the most - but then you have to laugh when you read "mouth replacement" on one of the samples... totally cheesy. It's worse than some of the special effects on Saturday night Sci-Fi movie specials. (and for those who don't watch the horrible movies on Sci-Fi on sat. night, they're pretty bad!)

Wow, that is creepy. They look like mannequins. Why would you do that to your loved ones?
