I need a passport photo and was wondering if anyone can recommend a free software download?

What exactly do you need the software to do?

Passport photos have to meet very specific requirements (size of photo, angle of face, color of background, size of head relative to the framing of the photo, etc). All these requirements are published here:

And the only of these for which software is relevant is cropping. Pretty much every single PP program out there can do that.

My first US passport I cut out a contact print from my 67 camera in BW and sent in two prints. They laminated it in. The contact print size from a 6x7 negative was almost per spec and I just trimmed it. When I had to renew the passport, I went to Cosco and they took the shot in color and gave you two prints the correct size to send in. When I got the passport back they had digitally copied it on to the page and the quality is so bad I can't believe they would even consider using it as an identification. Go figure.

I am just looking for something that I can bring a photo up in and print it out to the right dimensions. Just looking for quick and easy. I have seen a few programs online and was just wondering if anyone has used them. I need the photos for my x-ray license application.

One free, Open Source, graphics editor is The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's quit comprehensive and is guaranteed to send Photoshop fanboies into a superior frenzy every time. But the price is right for what you want to do but has a learning curve.

The software that came with your camera should be able to do that, as would the photo software that came with your computer. As I said, all you need is cropping capability.

If you haven't found anything yet, send me the file and specs and I'll size it for you.
PM me if you want some help.

Thank you for the offer of resizing, I will do some experimenting and see what I come up with.
