Is this machine Photo-worthy, or overkill?

Hello folks.

So I've got a desktop machine that I used for my Audio days, yet now that I no longer record or edit, the machine is merely used as a desktop computer.

I've been thinking of selling it to get some extra cash for a different desktop and possibly a lens, but if it is worth keeping for Photo editing and such then I will hold onto it.

What are some of your opinions?

Dual 1.8Ghz PowerPC G5
1Gb of RAM
Dual 250Gb HD
Graphics: GeForce FX 5200
Running 10.4.11

Fresh.

The PowerPC Mac's are a dead end. You would enjoy more up-to-date apps if you sell it at the used market and use the money to invest on a Mac Mini + display. It's a fine machine, enough for any photo editing, and you'll be able to run Snow Leopard which is way faster and 64 bit.

Sadly, a $700 Mac mini will outperform it by a wide margin. It is six years old after all...

If you plan on using Photoshop, that 1Gb of RAM is going to really slow you down.
