Lightroom instruction book

Just got my LR3 software.
Looks cool but vastly different than my previous PSE 6.
I have been looking up tutorials and what not on the web but...
I am a book in my hand person for reference purposes.

Anybody have any recommendations for an LR3 instruction book or in lieu, links to basic tutorials on the internet?

Try this:

Amazon.com: Vision & Voice: Refining Your Vision in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (Voices That Matter) (9780321670090): David duChemin: Books

Cheers...

This might not be what you re looking for, but a friend of mine showed me the "LR 3 Essential Training" that he had purchased from lynda.com:
Lightroom Tutorials | Photoshop Lightroom 3 Essential Training

From what I saw it pretty much covers everything...

If you don't mind videos, do a google for "Lightroom Killer Tips". I've learned most of my LR stuff from there, and it's free.

Scott Kelby's book for Lightroom is very good, in your case you've got to have it for LR 3.

Good deal, folks.
Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into them.
Gonna need something to read and harness LR3.

While getting advice on books is always helpful, spending some time browsing the shelves at a large bookstore like Borders or Barnes & Noble is always my choice. Both stores currently have about 10 or more books on Lightroom 3 at any given day and I always prefer to look through the book to see if it has the information I am looking for.

I'm switching to Lightroom 3.3 from ACDSee Pro 3. As these two apps are very different, I needed a comprehensive getting started guide. I'm currently reading both Scott Kelby's Lightroom 3 book as well as Victoria Bampton's Lightroom 3 "The Missing FAQ."

The two together are very good. Plus, if you buy the paper copy, Bampton will give you access to the eBook free. You just email her a copy of your receipt. So now I have the paper copy as well as a color PDF and a Kindle version. Very handy. While Kelby tends to tell you how he does things and why, Bampton is more likely to explain various options and the pros and cons of each.

I just got Nat Coalson's Lightroom 3 book, and I expect it will talk more about developing a personal workflow. I haven't started reading this one yet, as I want to finish the others first.

I have the Nat Coalson's book, and like it. It has just the right amount of detail for me - short and sweet.
