Aperture + Raw-file problem

hello everyone!

i´ve always used aperture as my main PP-program, but suddenly there is a big problem:

everytime i import raw-files, aperture displays them correctly for the first few seconds, then they turn into dark, green-blue-ish, completely useless pictures, kinda like if i used a cross-processing technique. (please note, i simply import them from my card and do nothing else.)

the strange thing is, if i use GIMP for example and transform them to JPEGs, everything works fine.

any ideas what could be wrong?

I have the same problem. The k-x and maybe the k7 are affected. I get a redish bluish tint on RAW files shot with the k-x especially above ISO 1600.

the strange thing is, that it has only started 2 weeks ago, without software update or anything. i´ve used it for close to 8 months now with my k-x.

check and see what ISOs the affected photos were taken at. Are they above ISO 1600? What I've noticed is that RAW files at shot below ISO 1600 look fine for the most part.

I just installed the latest Apple RAW update and it looks like the k-x RAW files are finally displaying correctly in Aperture! Be sure to check it out.

Exactly, for the first time the latest RAW update (v3.6) has finally finally fixed the K-x RAW processing problems I've had for a year.

Well, I thought it was fixed, but it seems that there is still a problem. Although the horrible blue and magenta color casts are now gone, there is still a slight pinkish cast to the DNG files when compared to the jpeg versions (shot in RAW+ mode). When I open the DNG files with adobe camera raw, there is no pinkish color cast, and the files look like the jpegs.

Can you post an example? Is it only certain ISOs? Occasionally or all the time?

Keep in mind that there are a few settings that affect the JPEG but not the RAW conversion in Aperture (contast, shaprness, vibrancy etc). I'm guessing you know this though.

In all the photos, the RAW files (DNG) are on the left, and the jpeg file (shot RAW+) are (obviously) on the right. The first set of images were shot at ISO 340 (?) and the second set were shot at IS0 1600. All adjustments were reset. The last image is the DNG opened in Adobe Camera Raw.

The first image looks pretty good, but there is still a little difference, but definitely not a problem. The second image bothers me.

I took some photos at a concert and at a funeral several days ago, shooting in PEF. Even with PEF files, there is still a reddish/pinkish tint compared to the jpegs, similar to the photos above.
